Open Door QLD – Event Ticket Cancellation Policy
Ticket Terms
At Open Door QLD, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences through our events. Please note the following conditions apply to all ticket purchases:
- All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Please ensure all event details are correct before finalising your booking, as we are unable to make changes once the purchase is complete.
Refunds & Cancellations
- Change of mind, personal circumstances, or inability to attend does not qualify for a refund, credit, or ticket exchange.
- Tickets cannot be transferred to another person or future event.
Event Cancellation or Changes
- If an event is cancelled by Open Door QLD, a full refund will be automatically issued to all ticket holders.
- If an event is rescheduled, existing tickets will be valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you may request a refund within 14 days of notification.
- If significant changes are made to the event (e.g., venue, time, or program content), we will notify all ticket holders. In such cases, a refund may be requested in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Your Consumer Rights
This policy operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or other remedy if an event does not proceed as advertised due to a major failure as defined under the ACL. For more information, visit the ACCC website: https://www.accc.gov.au
18+ Policy
All Open Door QLD events are strictly 18+ unless otherwise stated.
- Valid photo identification may be required upon entry (e.g., driver's licence, passport, or proof of age card).
- Entry will be refused to any individual under the age of 18, and no refunds will be issued in these cases.
- It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that all attendees meet the age requirements.
Alcohol and Illicit Substances Policy
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, Open Door QLD maintains a strict policy regarding alcohol and illicit substances:
- Attendees who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances may be refused entry or asked to leave the event at the discretion of event staff.
- No refunds or exchanges will be provided to individuals refused entry or removed from the event for being under the influence.
- The use or possession of illicit substances at any Open Door QLD event is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
- We encourage all attendees to support a safe and respectful environment for everyone present.
Inappropriate Behaviour Policy
Open Door QLD is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all attendees, staff, and facilitators. As such, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behaviour:
- Any form of harassment, discrimination, aggressive behaviour, or disruption will not be tolerated.
- Individuals engaging in inappropriate behaviour may be asked to leave the event immediately at the discretion of staff.
- No refunds or exchanges will be provided in the event of removal due to inappropriate behaviour.
- We reserve the right to deny entry or future access to events based on prior conduct.
By attending our events, you agree to uphold the values of respect, inclusion, and personal responsibility.
Banned Patrons Policy
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, Open Door QLD reserves the right to ban individuals from attending future events based on prior conduct or breaches of policy:
- Individuals who have been removed from events due to inappropriate behaviour, intoxication, or policy violations may be permanently or temporarily banned from attending future events.
- Individuals who have been removed from our social media platforms QLD Swingers or Open Door QLD may be permanently or temporarily banned from attending future events
- Banned individuals will not be eligible for ticket purchases or entry to any Open Door QLD events during the ban period.
- Any tickets purchased by banned patrons will be cancelled without refund.
This policy ensures that all attendees can enjoy a secure and welcoming space.
Cardholder Responsibility
Tickets must be purchased by the authorised cardholder. By completing a transaction, the purchaser confirms they are the legitimate owner of the payment method used.
- In cases of disputed transactions or suspected fraud, Open Door QLD reserves the right to request proof of identity or card ownership.
- We may deny entry or cancel tickets if the purchase is found to be unauthorised or if cardholder verification fails.
